JESCE
Tra le masserie di particolare importanza è Jesce, situata a circa dieci km da Altamura. Dagli scavi effettuati si è notata la vicinanza alla via Appia e sono emerse tre necropoli. Sono stati ritrovati frammenti di vasellame, ceramiche e tombe di bambini risalenti al V sec. a. C.. Di particolare interesse è anche la cripta contenente due affreschi risalenti al XIV sec.

Between the farms a particular importance is given to Jesce, situated about 10 Km from Altamura. The effected excavations have highlighted its proximity to the Appia street and three necropolises.
Fragments of china, ceramics and graves of children dating back to the 5th century B.C. have been found.
Moreover, the cript containing two frescos of the 14th century, has a great historical interest.
